TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SUPPLY
Last Updated 01/08/2026
About us
This website is operated by Miraya Maison (“we”, “us”, “our”).
We are a limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16679841, with our trading address at 27 Fernwood Crescent, NG8 2GD. You can reach us at mirayamaison@gmail.com.
These Terms & Conditions of Supply, together with our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Website Use, set out who we are, how you may use our website, and the basis on which we sell our products (the “Goods”) to you.
.
The contract between you and us
These Terms apply to every contract between us for the sale of Goods to you (the “Contract”). Please read them carefully before ordering. You will be asked to accept these Terms when you place an order; if you do not accept them, you will not be able to order from us. By ordering, you confirm you are at least 18 years old.
Our checkout takes you through the steps needed to place an order and lets you check and correct mistakes before you submit it. Please review your order carefully at each stage.
-
When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy the Goods at the advertised price. This is not yet an accepted contract.
-
We will send an acknowledgement email confirming we have received your order. This is not acceptance.
A Contract is formed only when we send you a Dispatch Confirmation email telling you the Goods are on their way.
If we cannot fulfil your order
If we are unable to supply a Good — for example because it is out of stock, no longer available, or there has been a pricing error — we will let you know by email and will not process the order. Where you have already paid, we will refund the full amount, including any delivery charge, as soon as possible.
Your right to cancel (14-day cooling-off period)
If you are a consumer, you have the legal right to cancel your Contract within 14 days, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, without giving a reason. The period runs from the day after you receive the Goods. Full details of how to cancel and obtain a refund are set out in our Returns & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
This right to cancel does not apply to personalised or Occasion candles made to your specification, as these are exempt from the right to cancel under the Regulations.
Faulty or misdescribed Goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Goods we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not, you have legal rights to a refund, repair or replacement. These rights are separate from, and additional to, the 14-day cancellation right. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights
Undelivered and returned parcels
If a parcel is returned to us by the courier because of an incorrect address you provided at checkout, or because it was not collected from a local depot, the following applies:
-
Standard (non-personalised) items: we will issue a refund for the order, less a £2.95 processing fee to cover handling and administration.
-
Personalised or made-to-order items: because these are made specifically for you and cannot be resold, they are not eligible for a refund. We will instead offer to resend the item once a £2.95 re-delivery fee has been paid.
Price
The price of the Goods is the price quoted on our website when you submit your order, in pounds sterling. We take care to ensure prices are correct, but if a Good is mispriced we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to continue at the correct price or cancel. We will not process the order until we hear from you, and if we cannot reach you we will treat the order as cancelled. Where a pricing error is obvious and you could reasonably have spotted it, we are not obliged to supply the Goods at the incorrect lower price.
Prices do not include delivery charges, which are shown separately at checkout before you confirm your order.
Payment
Payments are processed securely through [payment provider(s) — e.g. Stripe / PayPal / Shopify Payments / Wix Payments]. We do not store your full card details; these are handled by the payment provider. We are not responsible for the availability or functioning of these third-party services, or for any loss arising from their use
Promotions and discount codes
Unless stated otherwise, only one promotion or discount code may be used per order, and offers cannot be combined. Each offer is limited to one use per customer and cannot be exchanged for cash or credit. Discounts apply to full-priced products only and do not apply to delivery charges, gift cards, or items already reduced, unless the specific promotion says so.
Risk and ownership
The Goods are our responsibility until they are delivered to the address you gave us, at which point responsibility for them passes to you. Ownership of the Goods passes to you only once we have received payment in full, including any delivery charge.
How our products appear
We work hard to represent our products honestly, but images on the website are for illustration only. Because each item is hand-poured, slight variations in colour, finish and the natural appearance of the wax and vessel are normal and are not defects. Your screen may not show colours exactly, and sizes shown may not be to scale, so we provide sizes and descriptions where possbile to help you choose. Candles are decorative fragrance products and must be used in line with the safety guidance supplied; we are not responsible for harm caused by failure to follow it.
Our liability
If we fail to meet these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failure to use reasonable care. Loss is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence of our breach or was contemplated by both of us when the Contract was formed.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for breach of your statutory rights as a consumer, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We supply Goods for private domestic use only. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or business opportunity, loss of anticipated savings, loss of goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss.
Transfer of rights
Payments are processed securely through [payment provider(s) — e.g. Stripe / PayPal / Shopify Payments / Wix Payments]. We do not store your full card details; these are handled by the payment provider. We are not responsible for the availability or functioning of these third-party services, or for any loss arising from their use
Events outside our control
The Contract is between you and us. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under it without our written consent. We may transfer ours where doing so does not affect your rights under the Contract. No one other than you and us has any right to enforce the Contract.
Waiver, severability and entire agreement
If we do not insist on strict performance of any term, or delay in exercising a right, that is not a waiver and does not prevent us from enforcing it later. If any term is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in full force. These Terms, together with the documents referred to in them, form the entire agreement between us regarding the sale of Goods and replace any earlier understanding.
Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in law, payment methods, technology or how we operate. The Terms that apply to your order are those in force when you place it, unless a change is required by law, in which case it may apply to existing orders.
Complaints
If you have a concern or complaint, please email us first at mirayamaison@gmail.com and we will try to resolve it.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales (or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, the courts of your home nation).
